#213 I got it this time

Though a big event happened in my life before the New Year started. My grandmother had passed away and we had her funeral on New Year's Eve. She had been suffering many years from Alzheimer's, and finally it took it's toll upon her. Not to bring everyone else down, but losing someone that close does bring to focus one's own life. We can shut down from it, lie in a corner somewhere thinking that life is unfair, and what is the point. Or, we can take what we learned from that person that loved us so much without condition. Someone that would still love you no matter what mistakes you have made in life. Someone that would always be there when you needed them. Even these days that can be rare within a family. I have learned from her passing and her life, share your love with someone you feel that deserves it. Give your love to someone who deserves it, and even those that you don't think are so deserving in your life. Perhaps some people are the way they are because someone didn't try to love them. Treat love given from you and given to you as a precious gift. Don't dwell on those that do not return it, and embrace those that know you give your love as a gift. Love is patient, love is understanding, love forgives. I know when she looked at me, there was love there. I hope all of you have someone this year or find someone that has true love towards you.
