Hello all. Once again...long time for a update. Started out that my scanner mysteriously
stopped working. To getting a new computer with Vista. Long story that I will save for
next time. But it took a time to get this update up too. I thought I would have had it
up 3 days ago. Till I found out some features of my art program caused it to crash. I
thought I had tested it thoroughly. So I was ready to go but then my art program didn't
work. And I was broke after buy new things I needed for the new computer. So a new
art program was definitely not in my budget. And I thought Whogirl would be gone for
another couple weeks. So in desperation I did a online search seeing if I could find a
decent free program hoping that I could do at least what I did on the other.
And
lo and behold to my surprise. I found one. Good program called GIMP, or GNU Image
Manipulation Program. It rivals Adobe in quality. Very good image and art program. On top
of that GIMP is a free program for download. The only thing with GIMP is that it takes a
bit to figure out, and I don't know if I am missing them, but doesn't have some of the
features as my other program. But I am still on a learning curve with it. I wish GIMP had
more things as far as paint brush options. But it being free, one can't really complain
for what it can do and offer. I imagine there are a lot of artists out there who always
wanted a powerful art program, but because of lack of cash it is a dream right now. I
would recommend GIMP, or GNU Image Manipulation Program if you need to do a
search.
Once again Whogirl is back. Next month I'll have some new incentives, I hope
you all will enjoy.
